Who is therapy for … las “locas” ? not really

I want to preface the above with this —therapy is not for the locas” or for the ones who have “lost it”.  If anything, it’s where you go so you don’t lose yourself. If you grew up anything like me you heard things like : “Eso se arregla con mucha oración” or “Just work harder”  . But what happens when these emotions persist despite following these principles? Absolutely , hold onto your faith and sense of agency , for many it is a foundation to build upon , yet  mental health care is also a tool that is effective. 

Therapy is more like having a guided conversation with someone trained to help you understand your patterns, your emotions and how they play out in relationships , pero without judgment. Imagine that . 


A space where no one is telling you what to do or labeling you, but will help you make sense of what’s been sitting heavy on your chest. My question to you is , what if you took a moment out of the ordinary , where you are holding it all together for everyone else… and stepped into a space where you don’t have to. What would that look like ?
