What Is an Immigration Evaluation?
Immigration evaluations are professional clinical assessments describing how experiences like trauma, fear, separation, or hardship β have directly influenced your mental health. Evaluations can be used by immigration attorneys to strengthen cases before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
VAWA
(Violence Against Women Act)
For individuals who have suffered emotional, physical, or financial abuse from a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse or family member. Your evaluation will document the mental health impact of abuse.
Asylum
For individuals fleeing persecution or danger in their home country an immigration evaluation highlights trauma symptoms, cultural displacement, and fear of return, supporting your request for safety in the U.S.
U-Visa
For victims of certain crimes who have experienced trauma and cooperated with law enforcement. The evaluation will assess symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression to show the short term and long term impact as well as the ongoing recovery process.
Extreme Hardship
(I-601 / I-601A Waivers)
For U.S. citizens or lawful residents who would face emotional or psychological hardship if a loved one were denied residency or deported these evaluations focus upon assessing the family bonds, stress responses, and cultural factors to illustrate the hardship and severity that would result .
